

Kristin Elizabeth Miller, 25, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her home in Scottsbluff following a lengthy illness. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at The First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff with Reverend Craig Collins officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery prior to the service. Memorials may be given to the Panhandle Humane Society in Kristin’s name. Kristin was born November 17, 1990 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Sidney L. and Elizabeth A. (Frakes) Miller. She attended school in Scottsbluff, graduating from Scottsbluff High School with the Class of 2009. While in school she was active in various clubs and groups including Band where she lettered all four years and played as part of the pit orchestra for the musicals, DECA, National Honor Society, and FCCLA. She was also active in 4-H.
Kristin attended Chadron State College on an RHOP scholarship for pre-med until ill health prevented her from completing her degree. While at CSC she was a Human Anatomy Mentor and active member of the Health Professions Club.
Kristin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff. She was an avid quilter and a voracious reader. She volunteered for Quilts For Kids, Marine Comfort Quilts, and sewed bears for Capstone. She always loved animals, especially her dog Scooby.
Kristin is survived by her parents Sid and Elizabeth Miller and twin siblings Megan and Michael Miller all of Scottsbluff; uncles Michael (Malisa) Frakes of Massachusetts, Bill (Paige) Frakes of Florida and their daughter Havana, and George (Charlotte) Miller of Missouri; and other extended family members.
Kristin was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Glenn and Sydell Miller, maternal grandparents Ray and Agnes Frakes, and infant brother Sidney Miller, Jr.
