

Larry Gene Sell, 66, of Scottsbluff died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Zen Voorhies officiating. Interment will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance. The Larry Gene Sell Memorial Fund has been established. . Friends may call at the funeral home between 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Larry was born July 26, 1944 in Scottsbluff, NE to Jacob and Ruth (Boyer) Sell. He received his education in the area and graduated from Torrington High School. He entered the U. S. Army June 29, 1965 and served in Vietnam receiving the Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star. He was honorably discharged June 28, 1967. After his discharge he came to Scottsbluff where he served with the Wyoming National guard and worked for Lockwood Corporation until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #36 of Gering and enjoyed working Crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Survivors include his children: Lora Sell, and Troy(Kacey) Sell both of Scottsbluff; brother Melvin (Mary) Sell, Sidney, NE; lifetime friend: Tana Oksendahl, Scottsbluff, NE; grandchildren: Michael, Kayla, Jordan Lee Sell, Jordan Ross Moreno, Taylor Tapster, Justis, Marcus, Keara, Teagan and Aidan Sell. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, sister Beverly Greene and son Mark Sell.
