

Liliana “Lili” Marquez, 16, of Minatare, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Phil Flott officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Contributions may be given to Lili’s accounts at Platte Valley Bank, US Bank and Valley Bank. Liliana was born November 1, 1992, at Rupert, Idaho to Arnold and Isabel (Verduzco) Marquez. She moved to Minatare with her family when she was in kindergarten. She was currently a freshman at Scottsbluff High School. Survivors include her father, Arnold Marquez of Tecumseh; parents, Richard and Mary Arrellano of Minatare; sisters, Anabel Marquez of Des Moines, Iowa, Cristal Marquez of Scottsbluff, Yvette Marquez and Melissa Arrellano both of Minatare; brothers, Jovanny Marquez, Arnold Marquez Jr. and Carlos Arrellano all of Minatare; niece, Marcela Colin of Minatare; grandparents, Amparo Baez of Michoacan, Mexico, Beatrice and Antonio Salinas of Longmont, Colorado and Cora and Jose Zamarripa of Minatare; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lili was preceded in death by her mother, Isabel.
