

Linda Lee Ewing, 69, of rural Lyman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her daughter’s home in rural Banner County. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Christian Church in Lyman with Pastor Walt Cline officiating. Linda was born March 22, 1947 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Arthur and Thelma (Cline) Cross. She received her education at Bayard. Linda married Evan E. Ewing on October 2, 1965 in Hot Springs, SD and they had four children Jeannia, twins Monica and Melinda, and Joseph.
Linda was employed by Couplematic, Eaton, and Kurt Manufacturing all in Lyman for several years. She enjoyed gardening, farmers market, crocheting, cooking, camping, spending time with family & friends. Linda especially loved the “little ones” in or outside of her family. She was always there if you needed anything & never expected anything in return. She was a great mom, sister, aunt, grandma & friend. Linda’s laughter & smile will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Linda is survived by Jeannia (Terry) Morris of Harrisburg, NE, Monica (Peter) Schulz of El Paso, TX, Melinda Ramsey & (Mike) Blake of Glen Burnie, MD, Gene and Pam Ramsey of Albany, MO, and Joe (Billi) Ewing of Lyman, NE; 11 grandchildren: Jessica Weis, Sonia Miller, Conrad Morris, Micha Hornback, Amos Olson, Lance Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey, Mark Ramsey, Myles Blake, Kacee Ewing, and Kaleb Ewing; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Arleen (Elmer) Krause of Scottsbluff and Loretta Shafto of Denver, CO; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Arthur (Bud), John, Jim, and Robert, and sisters Mildred (Mae) Kennon, and Ethel Marie Cross.
