Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry, age 83, passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on Friday, December 14, 2007 in Fort Collins, CO. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Berean Church in Scottsbluff with Dr. Charles L. Bonds officiating. Inurnment will be at the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Lois was born in Scottsbluff, NE, March 24, 1924 to Floyd and Myrtle Bartow. She received her education in Scottsbluff and Gering. She married Ardeth Lowry in Harrisburg, NE, on August 16, 1940. Lois was a housekeeper for West Nebraska General Hospital and a laundress at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff. Lois and Ardeth moved to Fort Collins in February 2004. Lois is survived by her children. Patricia (Richard) Johnson of Fort Collins, CO, Wilda Britthouer (Gary Boots) of Scottsbluff, NE, Alton (Betty) Lowry of Fort Collins, CO, Larry (Rita) Lowry of Clarksville, AR, Karl (Patsy) Lowry of Lexington, NE and Priscilla (Bill) Davis of Jacksonville, FL. 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and extended family and friends. She was preceeded in death by her husband Ardeth of 63 years, her parents, her sister Lona June , 5 brothers; Dale, Harold, Ernie, Normand and Louie and her granddaughter Amy Jo.
