

Loretta Eva Lund, 71, of Scottsbluff, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Heritage Estates in Gering after a long battle with cancer with her family at her side. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ted Meter officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Loretta was born July 27, 1940 in York, Maine to Everette Ellsworth and Gladys Mae (Cummings) Goodwin. Loretta loved gardening. She especially loved watching the Jonquils bloom in the spring. She liked to make her children and grandchildren quilts. Every year, she provided coats for all her grandchildren at Christmas time. Loretta didn’t like to fry frog legs but did it simply out of love for her children. One of Loretta’s greatest joys was traveling with her husband Doyal. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, visiting with other travelers and looking at the beautiful scenery. She loved all babies, always giving a warm hug to all she met on her travels. Loretta took many photographs while traveling and shared her many adventures with her family and friends. Loretta worked for various jobs in the community including being employed at the Adult DayCare facility of Regional West Medical Center. Her full time job was keeping in touch with her family and friends. Loretta will be greatly missed by her husband Doyal, sons: Michael Nolde of Missouri, Vincent (RaeElla) Nolde of Scottsbluff, NE; daughters: Candice Fossum of Florida, Debra (Steve) Treblecock of McGrew; 12 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; 3 sisters, one brother and 37 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, one nephew and one grandchild.
