Louis H. Ledbetter, 91, of Gering formerly of Scottsbluff, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Northfield Villa Medical Center. His cremains will be buried in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyo. There will be no memorial services. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements. Louis was born May 11, 1918, in Chillicothe, Texas to Dick and Bessie (Lloyd) Ledbetter. The family moved to Torrington in 1922, where his mother died in 1928. Louis and his father moved to Scottsbluff in 1933. Louis graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1936, and from Stanford University in 1940. He was a Naval aviator in WWII. He married Lou Selzer in 1951. They had two children, Lisa and Barry. They were di-vorced in 1963 and he married Patricia Kiddoo Rea in 1968. He was owner of Ledbetter's Inc for thirty-eight years. Lou enjoyed reading, music, hunting, fishing, tennis and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, daughter, Lisa of Scottsbluff and stepdaughter, Bonnie Christensen of Fort Mills, S.C.
