Manuel Trevino, Sr. 92, of Scottsbluff, passed away at his home on November 30, 2021. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service time of 1 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Manuel Treviño Sr. was born to Francisco and Inez Penilla on March 9, 1929 in Karnes City, Texas. Manuel is one of four siblings. While Manuel was young, he and his family would travel many places including Nebraska working in fields. He held various jobs working at the Sugar Factory, the City of Scottsbluff, Lockwoods his last job of 30+ years before retiring at South West Hyde’s.
Some of his hobbies included carpentry, being around friends and family, working on cars, singing, and playing in a band. Around the age of 34 he met the love of his life here in Scottsbluff, Catalina Crespin. They were married in 1993 and settled in the Scottsbluff area raised their family of 8 children: Lupe (Raymundo) Ramirez, Manuel, George (Sara), Inez (Guerrero) Urquiza, Joe, Alex, Israel (Lydia), and Gabriel Sr. (Melinda); 33 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Those that preceded Manuel in death are his mother and father, brother Louie, sister Beatriz, wife Catalina, Daughter in law Hope Trevino, and 4 great grandchildren.
