OBITUARY
Margarete A Neumann
July 24, 1933 – March 25, 2021
Margarete A. Neumann (87) of Gering, passed away March 25, 2021 peacefully at home with her dear love Charles Riker by her side. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday April 2, 2021 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home in Scottsbluff; followed by a grave side service at Sunset Memorial Park.
Born July 24, 1933, in Unhausen Germany to Adolf and Sophie (Henterich) Pfeiffer. Margarete worked for the family business until she married her husband of 40 years; Chief Warrant Officer 4 Harold T. Neumann, U.S Army, on October 1, 1955 in Richelsdorf Germany. Margarete and Harold traveled the world with Harold’s Service in the U.S Army. While stationed in Istanbul Turkey they had their first son Timothy A. Neumann on Dec. 26, 1964. While stationed in Kansas City Mo. they had their second son Trevor A. Neumann on Nov. 18, 1970. Harold retired in 1971 and Margarete and family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
After moving to Scottsbluff, Margarete worked 29 years from 1984-2013 as the Director of the Gering Senior Center. Margarete lost her husband Harold in 1994 but was blessed to find her second love and lifelong partner Charles Riker in 1995. Together they loved to travel, camp, listen to music and go dancing. The couple would travel frequently to Germany together to see Margarete’s family that she adored.
Margarete is survived by her son Trevor A. (Mindy Medina (49)) Neumann (50) Scottsbluff, NE, granddaughter Haley Neumann (25) Gering, NE, granddaughter Kylee Chadwick (31) Sidney, NE, granddaughter Tristina Neumann (24) Scottsbluff, NE, brother Waldemar Pfeiffer, Germany and partner Charles Riker (66) Gering, NE
Margarete was proceeded in death by Harold T. Neumann (66), Timothy A. Neumann (50). Hans Pfeiffer (78)
