

Maria Del Carmen Solano Plasencio, 69, of Mitchell, went home to be with our Lord, Sunday, February 11, 2007. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 16, 2007, at Ebenezer Temple in Scottsbluff with Pastor David Metzweiller officiating. Cremation will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. A prayer service will be at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday. A memorial has been established in care of the family. Carmen was born September 19, 1937, at San Antonio, Texas to Marcelino and Esther (Aleman) Solano. She grew up and received her education in San Antonio. In 1952, her family moved to Gering, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Febronio M. Plasencio on February 28, 1958, in Harrisburg, Nebraska. To this union were born three children, Febronio S. Jr., Frances and Abel. Carmen worked at Midwec Industries for 30 plus years. She enjoyed decorating her home, visiting with her sisters, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom worked hard all her life and taught her children how to love unconditionally. She will be missed greatly by all her children and loving husband. Survivors include her husband, Febronio; children, Febronio S. Jr. (Janice Stanton) of Denver, Colorado, Frances (Ramon) Morales of Mitchell, Abel (Amber) Plasencio of Mitchell, Ronnie (Maria) Plasencio of Homestead, Florida and David R. (Candida) Plasencio of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Patricia, Priscilla, Febronio Jr., Eric, Danielle, Tyler, Hannah, John, Zulema, David Jr., Diana, Priscilla, Febronio Jr., Jessica and Vanessa; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Vickie Cervantes of Scottsbluff, Manuel Solano of San Antonio, Texas, Silvino Solano of San Antonio, Texas, Amparo Gibbs of Whittier, California, Eliodoro Solano of LaPuente, California, Frances Jimenez of Murrieta, California, Esther Solano of Whittier, California, Ruben Solano of Los Angeles, California and Jesse Solano of Whittier, California. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marcelino Solano Jr., Pedro Solano and Juan Solano; sisters, Antonietta Solano and Micaela Cantu; and great-grandson, Joshua Plasencio.
