Michael L. McCarty

Michael L. McCarty, 48, of Morrill, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare Center, Scottsbluff following a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel, Scottsbluff with Pastor Randy Kreiling officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Minatare. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday. Mike was born August 1, 1957, at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Clyde and Irene (Britthouer) McCarty. He grew up and attended school at Minatare, graduating from the Minatare High School. He worked in the restaurant business in management positions in the Scottsbluff area. Survivors include his brothers, Roy (Roxann) McCarty of Bridgeport, Henry “Butch” and Robert McCarty both of Minatare; sister, Rosetta McCarty (Green) of Henry; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Mike) Onstott of Morrill, Justin (Staci) McCarty of Henry, Eric and Britni McCarty of Bridgeport, Chad McCarty and Crystal Kraski both of Scottsbluff and Tonya (Kevin) Wurm of Minatare; aunt, Thelma Warner of Torrington; uncle, Albert (Louise) Britthouer of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and four great-nieces and six great-nephews. His grandparents; his parents; brothers, Gary and Clyde LeRoy Jr. McCarty; sisters, Gloria Ann, Nancy Irene, Donna Mae, and Delores Jean McCarty; several aunts and uncles, and great-niece, Emily Onstott preceded him in death.
