Patricia Kay ""Patty Custer

Patricia Kay “Patty” Custer, 68, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, May, 5, 2008 at her home. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Gustafson officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Inurnment will be held at Cleveland Cemetery in Stuart, Ne at a later date. The Patty Custer Memorial Fund to benefit the Cirrus House has been established. Patty was born August 20, 1939 in Stuart, NE to Elmer and Alma (Lofquest) Allyn. She grew up in Stuart and graduated from Stuart High School in 1957. While in school she was active in choir, glee club, band, pep club, and volleyball. She resided in Atkinson, NE before moving to Scottsbluff in 1988 to be near her children. She was also affiliated with Cirrus House Patty loved to write short stories and poetry, singing and working in ceramics. She was an awesome grandma and loved to bake for friends. She is survived by her children: Greg (Linda) Focken, Scottsbluff, James (Diane) Focken, Ansley, NE, Sandy (Scott) Diering, Columbia, MO, Jodi Barnes, Mason City, NE and Fred (Alicia) Focken of Lincoln, NE; siblings: Mary Ann Straka, Onamia, MN, Larry Allyn St. Charles, SD, Debbie Allyn, Lincoln, NE, Terri Mitchell, Stuart, Ne and Linda Peterson, Stuart, NE; twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
