Patricia Jinks McMann, age 65, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died Monday, November 13, 2006. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, November 17, 10:00 a.m., at the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services in Scottsbluff with Pastor Michael Stein officiating. Graveside services will be at the Alliance Cemetery, Friday, Nov. 17 at 2:00 PM. Pat was born in Scottsbluff on March 4, 1941, the daughter of Wilbert and Mildred (Worley) Jinks. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1959. She married her life-long sweetheart, Jerry McMann that same year. Pat and Jerry had two children, Jefry Dean, who still survives, and Jerade Beth, who died shortly after birth. Jerry and Pat worked hard to reach their family goals which included his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. They were first associated with Dr. Weinmeister of Gering, Nebraska, and then later bought their own practice in Mitchell, Nebraska. They were both active in their community and shared the friendship of many people in the Scottsbluff vicinity. Jerry died unexpectedly in September, 1986, and Pat continued to mourn the love they shared until her death. Pat was active in her community; she worked as a bookkeeper and receptionist at Panhandle Coop and part-time for Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home. She belonged to the Sunflower Chapter #214 of the order of Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron. She served as the Guardian of the Job’s Daughters Bethel #26 in Mitchell and as a Grand Deputy for the state. She also belonged to Chapter EU of the P.E.O. When she enjoyed free time, you could find her watching her grandchildren, nieces, or nephews play baseball, basketball, hockey, karate, volleyball or wrestling, marching in the band, or cheering in the pom squad. She delighted in taking “vacations” with her sisters, whether it be to their homes in Wyoming or to her brother’s home in Omaha. She loved being with her son, Jef, and his family relaxing in the mountains of Colorado. Pat is survived by her son, Jef, and his wife Jenny and their children, Emily and Allison McMann and Max Veatch and Samantha (John) Snocker. Also surviving are her brother, Ralph Jinks (Juanita) of Omaha; sisters, Brenda Jinks of Morrill, Sherri (Leroy) Fry of Alliance, and Renee (Gene) Fredrick of Sheridan, Wyoming. Her niece and nephews include: Tasha (Howard) Beals of Omaha, Shawn Manion, Shane Manion and Mike (Jolene) Manion, and Todd McMann all of Lincoln; Boone Manion of Alliance, Jered Fry, Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Zech Fredrick of Sheridan, Wyoming. Others include her brother-in-law, Keith McMann of Hickmann, Nebraska, great-neice, Taylor “Trouti” Manion of Alliance, Luke McMann of Lincoln, and Amie Hall of Omaha, and numerous cousins in the Platte Valley area. Pat will be missed by her family, numerous friends and business colleagues. Her family is comforted in the thought that she is again with her husband, Jerry, enjoying another life with one another.
