He married his high school sweetheart Linda Sakurada on April 30, 1983, in Denver, Colorado. He attended Metro State College. Paul worked at IMCO Trailers as a production supervisor for 32 years. He was an Army veteran and served overseas in Europe. Paul loved to fish, golf and could always be found sitting outside on the back deck enjoying the weather while listening to music. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. At family gatherings – which he never missed - he enjoyed joking around and making people laugh. Likewise, he was a constant presence at his daughters’ volleyball games and golf tournaments.
Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Christina Torres, her husband, Greg, and Victoria Ybarra; siblings: Lupe Sauer, Jenny (Victor) Colangelo, and Inez (Joe) Anzalone, all of Derby, NY, Mary (Jim) Whitaker, of Leesburg, FL, Angel (Linda) Ybarra of Lincoln, and Josie Hernandez of Omaha, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Julian and Eusebia Ybarra.
Memorials may be made to the Paul Ybarra Memorial Fund. The family will donate the funds to the Denver VA Infusion Center where Paul received his chemo treatments. He always talked about how well they treated him and how much he appreciated their care.
The family of Paul wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of their family and friends for their support during this difficult time.
