

Ralph D. Hanway, 83, of Scottsbluff, passed away, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at his home. His memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2010, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Joe Petersen officiating. Cremation was at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. Ralph was born May 2, 1927, in Broadwater, Nebraska to Robert R. and Beryl (Paxton) Hanway. He was sent to B.S.D.C. in Beatrice, where he lived until 1974. He moved to Hebron for a couple of years, then to Heritage Nursing Home in Bridgeport. In 1983, he moved to the Gering Scottsbluff area until the time of his death. Ralph enjoyed fishing and any events to do with cars and spending time with his own car collection. He is survived by his niece and her husband, Marsha and Steve; great-niece, Tiffany of Loveland, Colorado; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Marlene, William “Bill” and Laura, Grant “Jack” and Yvonne, and Anson “Babe” and Carol; and sisters, Retha, Beverly, Darlene, and Carolyn. Ralph will be greatly missed by his friends and staff at the Office of Human Development. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Robert, Raymond and Darrel; and sister, Patricia.
