Raymond was born March 15, 1940 at Minatare, NE, the son of Diego and Caroline (Hernandez) Magdaleno. In 1958 he married Karen Ramirez and they had 1 girl and 4 boys. They lived in the panhandle most of their lives and worked on the railroad together, where they retired from. When his loving wife passed in 2007 his daughter became his caretaker. He finished out his life’s journey in her home.
He was loved by many and brought joy to everyone he met. He loved to joke around and chase people on his power chair often giving “Spanish lessons” to doctors and nurses that weren't exactly the correct translations. He also liked to go out on the town. He learned to walk again months before going home to be with God. He was an inspiration to many and he will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Raymond is survived by his sons and daughter: Raymond Jr. (Matilda), and Henry (Sylvia); Robert; Victor (Melinda); daughter Bonnie (Rudy) Valdez; grandchildren Heather (Mike) Castillo, Daniel (Amanda) Magdaleno, Diego (Anna-lisa) Magdaleno, James (Claudia) Magdaleno, Felicia Magdaleno, April (John) Hieatt, Teigen Magdaleno, Monique Godina, Anthony Godina, and Jacob Magdaleno; great grandchildren Marisa, David, Diego, Santiago, Natalia, Illiana, Destiny, Isabella, Antonio, Victor, and Felipe.
Raymond is preceded in death by his wife Karen, parents Caroline and Diego, and several brothers and sisters.
