Rex Roy Wheeler

His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Casual attire is requested, Rex was a Wyoming Cowboys fan, so feel free to wear any Cowboys’ attire. A memorial has been established to the family. He graduated from Sunflower High School in May of 1975.

He married Jacqueline Stowell on December 26, 1975, and they made their home in Scottsbluff and to this union they had one son, Jason.

Rex worked for the City of Scottsbluff, Bluffs Sanitary Supple, Progress Rail and Suhr and Son’s Custom Harvesting.

Rex loved being outdoors. He looked forward to hunting and fishing every year. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes and corn hole. He was always the life of the party.

Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Wheeler; grandchildren Austin Wheeler of Scottsbluff, Aspen (Wyatt) Nelson of North Carolina, Avery Wheeler of Scottsbluff, Nathan Johnson of Wyoming, Alexander Wheeler; great grandchildren Aric Wheeler, Aurora Nelson and Naijha Rohde; siblings twin brother Randy Wheeler of Crawford, NE, Marva Holt of Dalton, NE, Cindy (Kirk) Thompson of Ft. Collins, CO, Richard Wheeler of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law Jason and Mollie Wheeler, parents Marvin and Donnadelle Wheeler, stepmother Virginia Wheeler, mother and father-in-law Jack and Anna Marie Stowell, sister-in-law Penny Londrigan, brother-in-law Darrell Holt, nephew Daniel Thompson and grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Rex was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Fly High My Cowboy!
