Bob was born August 15, 1933, at Lamar, Colorado to William Bradford and Ida Ruth “Patricia” (Gooding) Denning. On February 22, 1958, Bob married Mary Jane Dealy at Fort Collins, Colorado.
Bob served as a Colorado State Trooper in Idaho Springs, Colorado and as an Undersheriff in Clear Creek County, Colorado. He was an animal lover and rescued many basset hounds.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Denning; three sons, Bill (Anne) Carviness of Malta Bend, Missouri, Troy Denning (Andria Hayday) of Wisconsin, and Barry (Cheryl) Denning of Salida, Colorado; three grandchildren, Josh Carviness, Matt Carviness, and Jennifer Denning; and two great-grandsons, Stephen and Derrick.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
