Robert Antonio O'Neal

Robert Antonio “Robbie” O’Neal, 16, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at his home. His funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2009, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Vincent Parsons officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory and inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in care of the family. Robert was born November 15, 1992, at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Timothy Robert and Milagros (Gabane) O’Neal. He grew up in Scottsbluff and attended Longfellow Elementary School. He was currently at junior at the Scottsbluff High School where he was a member of the football team and German Club. He loved music and played the base and guitar. He will be remembered for his great smile. Survivors include his parents, Timothy and Mila O’Neal of Scottsbluff; sister, Jessikamae O’Neal of Lincoln; brother, Jonathan Gabane of Calapi, Philippines; grandmother, Carolyn O’Neal of Scottsbluff; grandfather, Antonio Gabane of Calapi, Philippines; aunts and uncles, Jane and Marv Schaneman of Scottsbluff, Rod O’Neal of San Francisco, California, Kathleen and Chuck Robertson of Lafayette, Colorado, Tom and Jennifer Smith of Omaha; Narcisa Barsana of Gigoso, Philippines; Elith Urbiztondo of Gigoso, Philippines, Oscar Gabane of Calapi, Philippines, Joseph Gabane of Manila, Philippines and Edito Gabane of Calapi, Philippines; and numerous cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Jovan Gabane; grandfather, Robert E. O’Neal; grandmother, Esperanza Gabane; and cousin, Abigail Robertson.
