Ron was born on August 16, 1942, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Ruben Weinmaster and Florence (Weinmaster) Fees. He graduated from Scottsbluff Senior High School in 1960. On July 8, 1962, he married the love of his life Judy (Card) Weinmaster, and they shared a loving marriage for over six decades. In this union they had two children, Ronda (Weinmaster) Haught and John Weinmaster.
Ron was dedicated to service throughout his life. He volunteered with the Scotts Bluff Rural Fire Department for several years and served in the National Guard. Together, Ron and Judy owned and operated A-1 Refrigeration from 1970 to 1977. In 1977, they expanded into the rental business, which they ran until their retirement in 2008.
Upon retirement, Ron and Judy enjoyed traveling the United States in their motor home, visiting 34 states. They also traveled to Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico, but their favorite trip was their 25th wedding anniversary cruise to the Bahamas. An avid fisherman, Ron also enjoyed drag racing and playing cowboy polo. He was known for involving his children in his adventures, whether it was riding snowmobiles at full speed or teaching them to drive in his Ford Bronco when they were far too young. After retiring to Arizona, he and Judy spent their time exploring trails in their side-by-side, in true Ron Weinmaster style they often ventured down trails that may or may not have been driven on beforehand.
Ron’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He took immense pride in watching his children, Ronda and John, participate in sports, riding horses, 4-H, and Boy Scout activities. His enthusiasm only grew as he cheered on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether at dance recitals, baseball games, track meets, wrestling matches, midget car races, or poolside during swimming lessons, if you heard WHOOP WHOOP you knew Ron was nearby. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Weinmaster and Florence (Weinmaster) Fees, son John Weinmaster, and brother Fred Weinmaster and great grandson Zane Weinmaster. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Ronda (Paul) Haught, grandchildren Payson, Wyatt Haught, Shelby (Ward) McConahay, Johnathan (Heather) Weinmaster, and great-grandchildren Ryker and Rhett McConahay, Zoey and Zadie Weinmaster.
