

Rose Ella Elwood, 78, of Scottsbluff, died September 23, 2009 at her home. A memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. Vincent Parsons officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. A memorial has been established to Prairie Haven Hospice. Rose was born September 8, 1931 in Henderson, CO to Adam and Anna (Urban) Roth. She was raised in Brighton, CO and worked at helping her parents on a farm and helping with her 9 brothers and 4 sisters. She married Ray D. Elwood March 4, 1977 in Westminster, CO. She and Ray moved to Scottsbluff where Rose worked at Safeway until her retirement. Rose’s greatest loves were her family, most of all the little grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite times were having all the kids together for family dinners. She will miss you all so much. She is survived by her husband Ray; son: Lloyd Craft, Arvada, CO, daughters: Patty McLane, Agate, CO and Barbara Schill, Scottsbluff, NE; brothers: Bill Roth, Cherry Hills, CO, and Albert Roth, Parker, CO; sisters: Mary Sack, Wheatridge, CO and Betty Kurtz, Orange Vail, CA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, many sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters and son-in-law: Edward Schill, Sr.
