

Ruby Quindt, age 92, of Scottsbluff, passed peacefully on November 16 ,2015, in her home where she resided 73 years. Private funeral services will be held at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home at a later date. The family respectfully requests that memorials in Ruby’s honor be made to Prairie Haven Hospice, or St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff.
Ruby (Schildt) Quindt was born March 4, 1923, to George and Louise (Eskam) Schildt. She grew-up and attended school in Minatare, NE. Ruby married Wilbert D. Quindt June 14, 1942, at St. James Lutheran Church of which she was a life-long member. Wilbert and Ruby have one son, Willie Quindt.
Ruby attended numerous adult education classes at Scottsbluff Junior College and was trained to assist doctors with their patients. Ruby was known to many for her caring, loving ways through the years when they visited Dr. Doug Campbell, Dr. Allan Landers, and Dr. Kent Lacey.
Ruby is survived by her son Willie and wife Vicki; grandchildren Brea (Matthew) Kniss of Lincoln, NE, and Brandon (Christina) Quindt of Gretna NE; great-grandchildren, Quintin and Claire Kniss, and Chelsea and Brexton Quindt and sister Lorraine (Arnold) Marshall, sister-in-law Lydia Schildt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbert, her sisters, Louise Schmer, Elma Schwartzkopf, and brother Robert Schildt.
