

Sally Sue Lang, 74, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Regional West Medical Center with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Brad Gustafson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church or to B.P.O. Does Drove #21. Friends may call at the funeral home between 9:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Sally was born July 2, 1935 in Scottsbluff, NE to Harry M. and Sarah (Jones) West. She attended Scottsbluff schools and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1953. She worked for United Telephone Co. and during this time, she met her husband to be, Marion Lang. They were married April 5, 1959 in Scottsbluff. She also worked several years at Ample Annies in Scottsbluff. Sally joined B.P.O. Does in the early 1960’s. She devoted much of her time to this benevolent organization. She was always ready to volunteer when needed and encouraged others to do the same. During her many years of membership, she served as chairman of numerous committees. She became President in 1976, and still attended functions and meetings until her death. Sally was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church where she attended Bible Study, a member of Presbyterian Women Circle and Stephen Ministries. She is survived by her husband Marion; sons: Mark (Annette) Lang, Scottsbluff and their children, Nicholle and Riley; Bill Lang of California and his children Katie, Justin, and Wesley Lang; and daughter: Suzy Lang (Leo) Campos of Omaha, NE and their children Stephanie, Nathan, and Nicholas; and 2 great granddaughters. Preceding her in death were her parents.
