Jackie and I are so sorry Terri. Sam was a terrific friend on the USS Denver during Vietnam and I was lucky enough that some years later we both ended up in Gillette, Wyoming and were able to continue that friendship for 43 more years. I always kidded Sam that I fixed the radios that he broke on the ship. We will all miss him terribly. The Lord is holding him now!

Dearest Terri:
We were so saddened to hear of your loss of Sam. He was such a "light in your world"... We will watch for the memorial date and hope to see everyone there. Know that we are thinking of you and sending love and prayers... tell the kids "hi" for us.

Always love
Patty & Lou

Terri and family,
Our hearts are saddened by Sam's passing. Our condolences to all his family members. May he rest in Peace.
We remember Sam as a great friend and true Husker fan. No matter what else was going on when we meet up, the conversation always turned to Husker Football. We took Sam to his 1st Husker game. A miracle in itself - as he asked us to get NE/OK tickets. We got them. We went. Don't think we slept all weekend. We were young. It was "priceless" sharing that weekend with him.
Loved visiting you in Torrington, and seeing that you were so happy together and enjoying retired life.
May God Bless & Comfort you.

Sam was one of the best people I ever met. We've been friends since the early 80's. When we were young we had a lot of good times together. He could find something good in almost any situation. He will truly be missed.
