Sandra Joann Brown Archbold, 63, died peacefully at her residence in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Sandy had some long-time health issues, and all she wanted for Christmas was to be healed. December 21, 2025, was a good day, and she looked beautiful when Jesus took her into His loving arms. Although it is not as we had hoped, she is finally healed. Her passing was unexpected, and our hearts are broken; the void she leaves is beyond words, but knowing she met Jesus gives us great peace.
Sandy was born in Scottsbluff, April 18, 1962, to Theadore (Ted) and Patricia (Pat) (Ziegler) Brown. Sandy graduated from Scottsbluff and received her Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of Nebraska.
Sandy was a “true nurturer,” from the babies she swaddled and rocked to the elderly she comforted. She was compassionate, caring, and kind-hearted. As her name implies, she was a defender of humanity; she wanted the best for others, looked out for the vulnerable, treated others with dignity, and ensured people were rightly cared for. Sandy and her children were a very close family. Her nieces and nephews all loved their aunt Sandy, and if you asked, they all would have stories to tell you about her goodness, how she cared for them, and the fun they shared. Whenever a family member was sick or had a physical problem, we would go to Sandy for her advice and first aid. Sandy also had a heart for animals and cared for many stray cats over the years. Anytime someone found an animal in need, they would take it to her because they knew she could save it and nurse it back to health.
Sandy had strong faith; she just believed and trusted God, and her prayers were with expectation. She encouraged her children with the word of God, that they can do all things, face the challenges of life through Christ, who strengthens them, and that with God, all things are possible. She taught them to be anxious for nothing, to pray about all things, to trust God to direct their path, to open and shut doors, and most of all, to find the peace of God and let it rule their hearts and guide them to do what is right.
Sandy was greatly loved, and she will be deeply missed. She leaves behind her
daughter Samantha Archbold (Becky), son Dustin Archbold (Brandi), her mother, Pat (Ziegler) Brown, sisters Jody Faulk, Diana, Dilley (Rocky), grandson Dillon Archbold, and brother London Grant, nieces and nephews Crystal Mead, Jerimiah Brown (Heather), Amber Faulk, Joshua Dilley (Danyell), Katie Rowlee (Chris), nine great nieces and nephews, four bonus grandchildren, sister-in-law Dinah (Archbold) Dahlke (Ed), nieces Melissa, Jennifer and Elisbeth Dahlke, including many extended other family members.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Ted Brown, the keeper of her heart, Doug Archbold, and her niece, Heather (Dahlke) Haines.
