Stanley A. Hill, 85, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away May 15th, 2021 at the Residency Care Center in Scottsbluff from congestive heart failure. Stan was born on August 26th, 1935 in Torrington, Wyoming to Horace and Helen (Rathburn) Hill. He grew up on the family ranch east of Hawk Springs. Stan graduated from Hawk Springs High School in 1953. After High School, Stan lived in Torrington, and Chadron where he met Adalene Wabs. He married Adalene on January, 5th 1958 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where they made their home. To this marriage, four children were born: Rex, Garry, Roger, and Marcella.
Stan worked at Midwic as a machinist for many years until he retired. He was a member of EAA Chapter 508 and restoring several airplanes in his garage which he enjoyed flying around the country. He played with several bands in the valley, The last band Stan played with was The Sundowners before he retired. His hiatus didn’t last long he was making music again for several more years with his friends and family around the panhandle.
Survivors include his wife Adalene, sons Garry (Tammy), Roger, his Daughter Marcella (Mike), and Grandson Cameron.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Helen Hill, infant sister Emma Irene, son Rex, and daughter-in-law Michele.
