Susannah Beth Williams

Susannah “Susan” Beth Williams, Age 58, passed away in the company of both her sons at Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, NE. She is survived by her parents Harold Clyde Williams and Sherolyn Ann (Davis) Williams, Sister Shelly Kercheval, and her sons Brandon Michael Meadows and Braxton Carter Burks.

Susannah was born on November 9th, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. After moving to Colorado at a young age with her family, she always considered it to be home. She was a devoted Mother, Sister, Daughter, Christian, and Nurse.

She was a natural caregiver that had a passion for working with children and was naturally drawn to nursing. Her career in nursing started in 1991 after she received a degree in Comprehensive Practical Nursing from the Community College of Denver. Later in life, she continued her education at Kingwood College, University of Texas Medical Branch, and CU Denver.

After working in long term care facilities and hospitals, she found her true calling in home healthcare as a pediatric ventilator nurse. She adored working with kids and helping families of the children she worked with. Her work took her all over the country, most notably Alaska!

She had a tremendous spirit and was the most compassionate, giving, loving, kind, thoughtful, faith-filled person you will ever meet. Her study of the Bible knew no bounds. She was published in Christian scientific publications for her work in deciphering and understanding the true meaning of the word of God.

Her purpose was caregiving. Her passion was travel! Her national parks passport tells the tale. I’ve stopped counting after seventy-five stamps. Many pictures illustrate her journeys and her epic trip to work in Alaska for a season traveling the great Alaska highways in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and ran to Delta Junction, Alaska, via Whitehorse, Yukon with her favorite travel companion (Shout out to KM 😊).

Lastly, Susannah’s faith in God defined her actions on earth. Her gigantic heart for genuine caring was not only fueled by her faith, but it was also the cornerstone of her personality and left a memorable impact on the people she met.

A graveside service will be held at Lyons Cemetery in Lyons Colorado December 9th, 2021 at 11am and a celebration of life later that day. We request that In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Children’s Hospital Foundation or UNICEF. Also, you can celebrate Susannah digitally at Susannah’s last gift.

Continually serving others is a form of expressing our faith in and to God. When we start to grow weary in our serving, we can be re-energized in our commitment by knowing that he sees us, and he will not forget.
