

Tamara Lynn Reed, 49, of Scottsbluff passed away at Regional West Medical Center on Saturday, December 27, 2008 after a brief illness. Her memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Robert Wigert officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Tamara was born on August 23, 1959 in Scottsbluff to Howard and Shirley (Corcoran) Reed. She attended Scottsbluff Schools graduating in 1977. She also attended college at WNCC and graduated in 1981 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Later Tamara attended para legal school in Denver, CO. She went to work as a paralegal in Omaha, NE and Denver, CO. She then attended University of San Diego School of Law and graduated with law review honors in 1991. After practicing law in San Diego, Tamara moved to Ft. Collins, CO where she owned a pet business for several years. She has resided in Scottsbluff for the past four years. Tamara was a member of the first United Methodist Church, as well as the Colorado and Nebraska Bar Associations. She served on the board of Tails of Love, a local animal charity. Tamara will always be remembered for her devotion to animals and animal rescue organizations. She is survived by her mother Shirley (Corcoran) Reed, of Scottsbluff; brother: Randy Reed and sister-in-law Donna of Cotopaxi, CO; sister: Peggy Woods, Denver, CO; nieces Lindsay Dermer, Amy Feichtinger and Gina Hatch all of Colorado; nieces Felicia (Jason) Clarke, Idaho and Tina Cunningham of Nebraska. Also surviving are her uncle Richard Corcoran of Scottsbluff and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Howard “Bud” Reed.
