Tanya Michelle Secrest-Vallejo

Tanya Michelle Secrest-Vallejo, 40, and her daughter Tasya, 14, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, June 28, 2010, due to injuries received in a car accident. Funeral services for Tanya will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Interment will follow in the Angora Cemetery at Angora. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of Connie Camacho, 605 Park Street, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. Tanya was born March 11, 1970, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Connie (Krul) Camacho and the late Don Secrest. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1988. She received her Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2004, from University of Nebraska Medical Center-West Nebraska division. She met Anthony Savala and of this union Tasya Nicole was born. She loved horses, hiking, music, writing poetry and her family. She won spelling bees, was in cross country running, band, and an honor student while in high school. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, and friend. She was a great listener and was always there when you needed a shoulder to lean on. She had a love for all animals and a special way with horses. She met Kristie Vallejo, the love of her life in 2000. Together they made a home in the Scottsbluff-Gering area. Tanya is survived by Kristie Vallejo; her mother, Connie (Michael) Camacho of Scottsbluff; sister, Winter (Chad) Verbeck of Bayard; grandmother, Minnie Krul of Angora; uncle, Richard Krul of Hemingford; niece, Carli Verbeck; cousins, Nick Krul, Scott Krul and Ryan Krul; great-aunt, Marion Miller; grandmother, Glennus Cole of Laramie, Wyoming; uncles, Steve Secrest of Laramie, Wyoming and Dave (Marsha) Secrest of Sidney; cousins, Todd Secrest and Travis Secrest; aunts, Betty Faris of Laramie, Wyoming and Linda Coy of Denver, Colorado; numerous cousins; and stepbrothers, Chris (Katie) Camacho, Bellamy (Jessica) Camacho and Troy Fritsche. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Secrest; grandfather, Stanley Krul; and uncle, Stanley Krul Jr.; and stepbrother, Trent Fritsche.
