Troy James Eberling

Troy was raised in Magna, Utah. He received his early education at Magna Elementary School, graduated from Cyprus High School where he was involved on the rodeo team and attended both Snow College & Southern Utah University where he graduated with his bachelor’s in psychology and was part of the cheerleading yell team.

He married the love of his life Brian Glade Butterfield on June 07, 2018, at Lake Minatare, Nebraska, and made their home in Torrington, Wyoming.

He served an LDS mission in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania mission from 1997-1999. He loved rodeo, horses, dogs, camping and kids. He was involved in soccer, baseball, rodeo, swim teams and polo teams.

Troy is survived by his spouse Brian Glade Butterfield who he loved very much. His parents Jim and Gloria Eberling of Monticello, Utah and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Troy is preceded in death by his brother Jay Eberling, stepbrother Duane Eberling, his grandparents Joe and Gisele Eberling, Gilbert and Fawn Smith and his cousins Lisa and Jonny Eberling.

A celebration of life with be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, at Papa Moon Head Quarters in Scottsbluff, NE. He will later be laid to rest in Monticello Utah.
