
Viola A. Bulman, 92, of Gering passed away Monday, January 5, 2026. Her funeral service will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Central Church of Christ in Gering with pastors Herb Rainey and Del Hamon officiating. Interment follow the High Butte Cemetery at McGrew. Friends may visit from 5-7 P.M., Monday, Charles Benton, and Jack Benton; and son-in-law, Rocky Miller.

Viola Arvilla Bulman was born to George and Edna (Spraker) Benton on August 19, 1933 in Bayard, NE. Viola lived in Bayard and McGrew before moving to Gering in February of 2007. She graduated from Bayard High School in 1951. After graduating high school, she attended college at Manhattan Christian College and Platte Valley Bible College. She was a member of the McGrew Golden Rod Club. For many years, she directed the church choir at Central Church of Christ. She married Thornton Bulman March 10, 1967. They have two daughters, Margaret (Philip) Eckerberg and Faye Miller. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Philip Eckerberg and daughter Faye Miller. Grandchildren Meagan, Brooke (Josh), Brittany (Wyatt), Brianna (Andrew), Matthew, and Victoria and great grandsons Walker and Colter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thornton; two infant daughters, Marjorie Sue and Mary Kaye; parents, George and Edna Benton; sisters, Margaret Campbell and Virginia McDaniel; brothers, George Benton,
