Wendy Ann Jersey

Born January 5, 1962, in New Castle, Wyoming, Wendy was the daughter of Floyd and Marge (Beckman) Jersey.

She was an accountant for 13 years at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Trappist Abby in Carlton, Oregon, and later moved from Wilsonville, Oregon to Gering, Nebraska to be closer to family.

Throughout her life, Wendy’s compassion showed itself in steady, practical care for others and in the quiet kindness she extended in everyday ways.

Wendy was deeply passionate about animals, especially her cats. She also found joy in constructing Legos—an interest she truly excelled in—bringing patience and care to each creation. Wendy was a kind, loving, and giving person, and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents; uncle Bill Storer; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Wendy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and George Streeks of Gering; brother, William Jersey of Alamogordo, NM; niece, Tamara (Matt) Edwards and son Daniel Holdsworth of Ionia, MI; nephew, Greg Streeks of Gering; and aunt, Dolores Storer of Denver, CO.
