Wendy Jo Newberry

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Hebbert officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1-7 p.m. at the chapel. Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.

Wendy was born on August 21, 1957 to Jerry and Mattie Karolyn (Rowan) Miller in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She graduated from Sunflower School in 1975. She married George Chikos and had a son Cody. She moved to Fraser, Colorado. She later married Bill Newberry and had two sons Jesse and Daniel. She returned to Nebraska in 2000.

She worked at Aurora for 14 years until ill health forced her to early retirement.

Wendy enjoyed camping and going to concerts. She loved spending time with her family and enjoying family dinners.

Wendy is survived by her mother Mattie Karolyn Robinson of Scottsbluff; sons Cody (Sarah) Chikos of Milliken, Colorado, Jesse Newberry of Scottsbluff and Daniel Newberry of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren Colten, Karly and Kiera Chikos; brothers Jerry D (Michelle) Miller of Ft. Collins, CO and John (Adela) Robinson of South Dakota; sister Nichole Robinson (Ricardo Rodriguez, Sr.) of Gering and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, brother Jim Miller, maternal grandmother Opal Rowan and childhood friend Carrie Asay.
