William Lee Johannsen

Funeral service will be at 12:00pm, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel, 3201 Ave B, Scottsbluff, NE, 69361. Graveside will follow at Angora Cemetery.

Will was born April 7th, 1981 in Scobey, Montana, to Dallas and Judy Johannsen. William joined the Army National Guard before enlisting in the Army from 2000-2007.

Will loved the outdoors he loved to fish, hunt, camp, boat, and he loved the Wildcat Hills, especially the gun range. He loved the mountains and the prairie. He loved our farm with the two dogs, Shadow and Rusty, five cats, chickens, and a duck that he loved very much.

He recently started a new job at Kuskie Oil to become a propane tank inspector. Will was also a carpenter. He loved to build and create things especially for the ones he loved.

He was an avid prankster just ask Gary (his work wife) or his best friend Cat. He loved to help people so much so that he donated his organs in hopes of helping someone one last time. William was also a lover of all creatures, except rattlesnakes.

William married the love of his life Sarah Alfred on their one year anniversary July 4, 2024 in Gering, Nebraska. They loved going on adventures weather it was camping, fishing, or Sarah helping him prank someone. They loved being together and were inseparable.

William and his wife, Sarah (Alfred), have two dogs, Shadow and Rusty, five cats, chickens, and a duck that he loved very much.

William is preceded in death by this maternal grandparents Wilis and Jennie Wood, his Uncle Walter Wood, his paternal grandparents Frank and Tootie Johannsen, and his Uncle Bruce.

His is survived by his loving wife Sarah, his parents Judy and Dallas Johannsen his brother Brian Gregg (Kim) his niece Abigail Gregg, Mother and Father-in-law Ralph and Guylene Alfred, Brother-in-law Ralph Alfred, Brother-in-law Rodney (Juila) Alfred, and Brother-in-law Timothy (Donna) Alfred. His Great Aunt and Uncle Charles and Ellen Johannsen as well as many cousins and friends that were more like family, and Aunt Peggy Johannsen
