Albert C. Perez, 88, passed away on January 10, 2017 in Dallas, TX. He was born on September 17, 1928 to Francisco and Delfina Perez in Madero, Mexico. Albert had an intense passion for golf and loved to play anywhere, but his favorite courses were at Tenison Park Golf Club and the Prairie Lakes Golf Course. He was also an avid fan for both the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He once played amateur baseball as a catcher and was scouted by a professional team. He was also a guitar playing singer in a trio that performed on a daily radio broadcast in Mexico. Albert was proud of his Mexican heritage but even more immensely proud when he became a naturalized US citizen. At the age of 8, he and his three brothers were orphaned. Albert spent the next 50 years searching for his brothers to try to gather his family together again. He was eventually successful and they now celebrate annually and get together as often as possible. This truly shows that Albert’s greatest pleasure in life was his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 66 years, Elida Perez; children: Mario Perez and wife, Wi, Jorge Perez and wife, Leatha, Eddie Perez and wife, Kathy, Omar Perez and wife, Betsy, Tito Perez and wife, Susan and his only daughter, Angela Perez and fiancé Philip Castro; grandchildren: Heather Perez, Tricia Perez, Eric Perez, Sheridan Perez, Brandy Wright, Nathan Perez, Codie Perez, Alex Perez, Brady Perez, Sean Jackson and Brianna Turner; great-grandchildren: Krista Perez-Plaster, Hunter Perez-Plaster, Kaylee Perez, Melinda Martinez, Araceli Juarez, Crystal Juarez, Aundrea Perez, Gabriela Perez, Deigo Perez, Beckham Perez, Zion Perez, Ryder Perez, Jupiter Perez, Sophia Westrope, Talon Manning, Lily Perez, Iliana Lechner, Emeyln Lechner, Jace Lechner and Calin Worthington; brothers: Ramiro, Pedro and Shema; and a host of extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
