Alice Marie Kelly, beloved, faithful, and kind-hearted, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on May 14, 1950, in Dennison, Texas, to Clifford and Vera Ellen McCarty, Alice will forever be remembered as a loving mother, sister, “Mimi,” and dear friend to all who knew and loved her.
Alice graduated from Seagoville High School, Class of 1968, and soon began her professional career. She devoted nearly 35 years to serving as a secretary and administrator for the Dallas Independent School District. She later spent an additional 10 years at Trinity Valley Community College before embracing retirement.
Family was at the heart of Alice’s life. She was especially close to her siblings, particularly her sisters Wanda and Brenda, and she treasured bringing everyone together for holidays and celebrations. Her unwavering devotion to family was evident in the strong and lasting bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
Alice was a dedicated member of her church family at Kaufman United Methodist Church. She was also active in the Red Hat Society and enjoyed taking trips to Oklahoma.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Ray Kelly; her daughter, Kristi Marie Conger, and husband Jesse; her grandsons, Josh Coursey and wife Madison, Jacob Coursey, and Jase Conger; her great-granddaughter, Jade Kelly Coursey; her sisters, Nancy Miller and husband Ronald, Brenda Fiero, Wanda Mize and husband Milton, and Laura Dodson and husband Ronald; her brother, Dale McCarty and wife Renee; along with 13 beloved nieces and nephews, and many cherished extended family members and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Clark McCarty and Vera Ellen Johnson McCarty, and by her former husband, Ray Kelly.
A visitation will be held on November 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, followed by her Celebration of Life at the same location. The committal service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Hwy 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
