Alma Marie Thrash passed away on February 18, 2021 at the age of 90.
Alma was born in Tyler, Texas on July 4, 1930 to March and Alma Sulser. At the age of 17, Alma married the love of her life, her companion and best friend Alvin Ward Thrash. They spent the next 56 years happily building their lives and making memories together. Their love for each other was undeniable.
They were blessed with two children, their daughter, Pamela Riggs and their son, Steve Thrash; 4 Grand Children: Alvin Ray Riggs & wife Erika, Adriana Murchison, Shannon Thrash, Joshua Thrash & wife, Jessica; 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, March Andrew Sulser, Jr.
Alma was such a loving person. You could say she was a “fun and feisty” mother and Nana to her children, grandchildren and even her grandchildren’s friends. Alma always thought of her family as one of her greatest achievements. For fun, Alma enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family. She had a great talent of crocheting and knitting and could create anything using her hands.
Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ward Thrash as well as her parents and one grandson, Daniel Riggs. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her and loving her.
A visitation will be held for Alma Marie Thrash on Friday, March 5th from 11:30pm – 1:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 1000 S. Hwy 175 Seagoville, Texas 75159 followed with her burial in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 with Pastor Rocky McCool officiating.
