She recieved the Holy Spirit when she visited the church up the road at the age of 12. She met her sweet love Joseph at the fence. He eventually moved away, but he came back to marry her. Just like he said he would. The two were only 16. They truly had a story book romance.
Joseph and Ammie attended Gospel Chapel of Dallas Texas. They vowed to put God first in their marriage and raised their children to do just the same. Ammie was a stay at home wife and homemaker. She said if she had to do it all again she wouldn't change a thing. That her love for her home and others was her calling. She cherished her grandchildren , great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She never met a stranger that she didn't stop to pray with. In her eyes all people, no matter where they came from, were deserving of forgiveness and love.
She served the Lord in all she did. She loved being part of the church. Whether it was working in the kitchen or in the nursery she was honored to serve others. She enjoyed fishing and somehow always caught the bigger fish. She loved thrift stores and cooking. Her macaroni was the best ever. She swore by Jesus and aloe vera. Her heart was made of pure gold.
She lost her husband in November 2015 but poured all the extra love into her family. She was just a phone call away willing to hear every story. She wasnt able to attend church regularly in her latter years because of her health but was faithful in Jesus and her prayer for others never ceased. She stayed close to God and kept the faith of a mustard seed. There were many times trouble came her way but she trusted in God and knew he would bring her through it with victory.
SHE WAS A TRUE PROVERBS 31 WOMAN! Oh what an example we have to follow. Her legacy of love and prayer for others will live on in her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed and loved by many but we know holds tomorrow and will see her again on some sweet day!
