

Benita Louise McAnally, of Seagoville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Dallas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother by all who knew and loved her.
Benita was born on October 7, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, to James F. and Mildred A. Morales. She attended Raytown South High School, where she developed a love for roller skating and scouting as a young girl.
Her journey through life was not always easy—marked by many challenges and hardships—but Benita met those trials with resilience and determination, especially while raising her three children. Those closest to her understood the depth of her struggles, yet she always managed to find moments of joy, laughter, and the strength to uplift others.
Throughout her life, Benita lived in various cities before making her home in Seagoville, Texas. She dedicated many years of service working in hospitals across the Dallas metroplex, including Baylor Hospital.
Benita is survived by her devoted husband, Charles McAnally of Seagoville, TX; her daughters Kim Nichols of Allen, TX, and Teresa Gorman of Lone Oak, TX, along with their spouses; and her beloved grandchildren: Tiffany Nichols, Jessica Bechtel, Tessa Briscoe, Erica Bechtel Booth, Tara Walls, Hailey Williams, Taylor Willess, Matthew Gorman, Joshua Nichols, and Dalton Curtis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Mildred A. Morales; two older sisters; and her son, Robert Curtis.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church, 900 N. Hwy. 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. As per her wishes, Benita will be cremated, and there will be no graveside service. A fellowship reception to celebrate her life will follow in the church banquet area.
Benita's legacy of love, strength, and humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
