Burnice Franklin Payne met Jesus face to face on June 1, 2018. He was born in Ashdown, Arkansas on October 21, 1928 to Lula Mae and Ovie Payne. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Mildred Glover; brother Daniel Payne; sister Ola Mae Summell; sister Christine Hendrix; brother Lawrence Deaton and daughter Janice Gayle Payne. Left with cherished memories are his loving wife Betty Payne; sons James Ronald Payne and wife Terry Philip Payne; step daughter Tona Lunsford and husband Tim; step son David A. Smith Sr. and wife Amanda; brothers Fred Payne, Tommy Payne and David Payne; sisters Martha Kay and Patti Gayle; grandchildren Chris Payne, Joshua Payne, Brianne Payne, Blake Payne, Michael TurnerJr., David Smith Jr., Dalton Smith, Racheal Goodman, Ashley McCaffety and Paige Smith; great grandchildren Chrisa, Zachary, Alexis, Harmoni, Kayla, Aaron, Cayden, Kirsten, Tristen Brooklyn, Rylee, Hailee and Michael III and a host of other family loved ones and church family and friends. Burnice enjoyed living in the country, caring for his property and tending to his garden. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Grandpa was an amazing man. He was always doing for others and loved all the kids so much. We will miss him dearly. He was a great Grandpa. We have so many wonderful memories. Tomorrow will def be hard for our family. But we know Grandpa is in a much better place 💕
