Daniel Cephas Ellis, Jr. was born August 30 1958 to Daniel Ellis, Sr and Shirley Jo Ellis in Ft Lauderdale, FL. He passed away October 12, 2021 in Dallas, TX.

Daniel leaves behind his children: Daniel Ellis, III, Brandon Ellis and Nicole Ellis; grandchildren: Daniel Ellis IV, Zachary Ellis, Rylie Ellis and Mason Ellis; sister Mary Jo Ellis Vandervoort and husband, Joe and by his former wife of 20 years of marriage, Diane Ellis.

Daniel went to Kimball High School and later attended Skyline High School in Dallas, TX where he could learn more about automotive. He was a hard worker and took care of his family.

He loved working on cars and managed many companies including salvage yards, construction company, diesel motor, and had multiple car lots. He was a humble businessman, yet he loved to laugh and joke around. He was giving and always willing to help anyone along the way. Many of his colleges looked up to him for advise to get started into their own business. Danny was one not to hold a grudge and would laugh it off most times, but was serious when had to be. You would always find him with a smile.

Danny enjoyed car racing, going boating, Rving and riding ATV. Most of all he loved his children and family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

I had a lot of fun being with Danny. We made a lot of jokes about anything. I remember going to the Summit Racing store with both Danny's and we laughed and joked all the way there and back. It was a lot of fun.
I also loved going to his house and especially his garage and seeing all the projects he was working on.
Staying in his motor home at Nascar in FT. Worth was one big long party.
Thank you Danny for all the fun times. You will be missed.
