David Lee Giddings, of Crandall, Texas, entered into rest on August 10, 2022 in Crandall, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and friend to all that knew him. He entered into life on February 16, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Agnes Giddings.
He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, and earned a business administration degree at North Texas State. He worked off shore rigs out of Grand Isle, Louisiana. He later on became a Dallas Police Officer in 1965 where he was a Senior Corporal and training officer out of the Southwest Station. He retired in 1995 with 30 years of service. David was an avid SCUBA diver and a member of Dallas Divers. He loved photography and always had a camera at hand. Family and friends all benefited as he documented their lives.
David is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; sister, Barbara Barnard (Frank); daughter, Angela; three grandchildren, David, Jessica, Arielle; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for David will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Kelley, James Kelley, Perry Stultz, Josh Borror, John Barnard, David Hubbard and Gerald Williamson.
