Debra Ann Derrick Odom was age 63 when she passed from this life on July 24, 2018, in Rowlett, Texas. Debra is survived by her mother, Jean Derrick; her devoted husband, David Odom; along with her four children, Misty Burnett, Chris Burnett and spouse Amanda Burnett, Derrick Weeks and spouse Tiffany Weeks, Maegan Weeks Ewing and spouse Miles Ewing; her seven grandchildren, Emma Fox, Dillon Fox, Savanna Burnett, Sidney Burnett, McKynzie Ewing, Emma Ewing and Theo Weeks. She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Levi Derrick who passed from this life on January 19, 2001. Debra Ann was born on December 2, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. She was a 1973 graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School. She spent her high school days as a member of the Sundancer Drill Team and went on to pursue a career in Human Resources and Payroll with National Cheerleader’s Association/Varsity Spirit Fashions for 24 hardworking and dedicated years. Debra was a loving mother, an endearing wife, daughter, sister and friend. She loved the Lord and was passionate about her time she spent in worship. Debra was also generous, funny, loving and she could light up any room when she entered it. Her siblings and children remember fondly how she loved the old TV show, "I Love Lucy." She could quote verbatim many, many funny lines from the show followed by her hearty laugh. She would expect us to celebrate her life and give all praise to the Lord. She will always be in our hearts and will forever be loved, missed, and our lives will never be the same.
