

DIANE DOWD, of Seagoville, Texas, was born in Kewanee, Illinois on October 19, 1950. She was the daughter of James Wilson and Alva Lois Floyd. Diane graduated from Kewanee High School and went on to pursue a degree in Nursing. She proudly dedicated 49 years to caring for others as a faithful nurse, sharing her expertise in various fields of nursing, and making a difference in many lives. In 1990, Diane began her 27-year service to the United States Government, Department of Veterans Affairs where she worked as a Urology and Cardiac Nurse at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center prior to her retirement in 2017.
Diane had an unwavering faith in God. She was an amazing vocalist and musician. She enjoyed being a seamstress, designing, and sewing her own gowns and clothes for her children. Diane loved collecting antiques and items connected to her Native American Heritage. Blessed with seventy-two years of life, our beloved Diane entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Diane will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, mentor, and colleague to all who knew and loved her.
Loving memories are cherished by her children, Tesha Taylor of Chicago, Illinois, Tiffany Greenlee (John) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tonya Taylor of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Natasha Pavlovcik (Samuel) of Chicago, Illinois, and great-granddaughter, Anya Pavlovcik.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A visitation for Diane will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
