Betty and family, when coming into write a memory right after don's homegoing, i enjoyed the pictures so much until i forgot to write my memory. I did not know Don well, but i have known Betty for a long time, and my kids went to school with Donna and Wanda. I know Don from Church.he had such a pleasant smile and a happy face. Knowing his family you had to know why. Betty is definitely the most wonderful person, and she could make you laugh even if you were in a coma. I know his family meant everything to him, except for JESUS CHRIST. Looking at those beautiful pictures you could see the love in his face holding those grandchildren. Fifty-one years together must have been a story we could all learn from. His family treasured every moment with this dear man. I know they will miss you Don, but we know you can greet each one when their time comes to meet you on the other side of that beautiful river. Until then, sweet and dear family, just call up a memory.

Love you Don Smith family.

I got to know Don $ Betty when I worked for Standard Industrial with his daughters Donna and Wanda. I was always treated like Family and I will always be greatful to him for giving me a job. I will always remember him as being such a kind and sweet man who was devoted to his Family. Don, you will truly be missed. RIP Sir and fly high with the Angels. Hope you can get to know my Dad who went to heaven in July. I know you two will get along great! I hope your dancing in the sky and singing in the angels choir!

I am so very sorry for the family's loss of Don Wayne. Don was a classmate as long as I can remember and a constant sharer of baseball games in the summer.
He was the first guy I can remember that could throw a curve ball.
These are amoung my pleasant memories and I'm sure you have yours to carry you through this "valley of the shadow of death."
