my favorite memories of my Aunt Edna is of when she and uncle melvin would visit us at my mom's house.

they always had a ice chest full of cold sodas! knowing that we did not get alot of sweet treats, they would spoil us with treats when they came to visit. lol

while aunt Edna was busy cooking with fay and the other ladies, Uncle Melvin, Tom and Me went for a ride outside of Cherokee to enjoy looking for deer and turkey during the last 1.5 hour of day light. that day was amazing !!
we counted over 150 deer and a few huge groups of turkey's as well.
Uncle Melvin told Aunt Edna that he really enjoyed that trip, he had never seen so many deer.
i hope that you are with uncle Melvin at heaven now and forever happy.
i will always love and miss you both forever.
Gerald Hawkins.
Nephew, son of Edna's sister Fay.
