He leaves behind his three children, Jerete Micheal Valdez Sr., Edward Earl McDaniel Jr., and Lawrence Jason Valdez; his grandchildren, Jerete Micheal Valdez Jr., and Kinsley Deann Valdez; his sister, Lawanda Sharon Kennedy; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Esta Merlene Monk, Vonda Lorena Ehrich, and Sidney Murrell McDaniel Jr.
Edward was a proud US Army Veteran. After faithfully serving his country, he became a police officer and later a security guard.
Edward was a family man, who always made sure everyone was cared for and doing well. He had a deep love of nature, spending his free time fishing and taking walks around City Lake Park. He also enjoyed classic cars.
Edward will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
