I first met Ilene as a teenager. We enjoyed getting together visiting. After high school we moved to different areas but, I always remembered her as a friend and cousin by marriage. Sympathy to her family may she rest in peace.

One of the best memories was that Nanny and Papa was always loving and caring to everyone. They opened the door to many family member's and stranger's and helped out in any way they could.
I have many memories of nanny and I playing catch in the front yard and walking up the street and back. She loved her baseball. Another memory was she loved to walk up beside you and take the back of her hand and skap your arm as hard as she could then the war was on for trading licks on the arms. She always drank her coffee, tea, water and ice cold Coca Cola.
As a grandson and im sure i can speak for the other grandchildren nanny always made sure we always looked our best.
We all love you nanny. Papa has been waiting on you, now the two of you are arm and arm hand and hand watching over all of us..

Nanny 'Lene raised me....this is a hard loss. I remember getting dropped off early and sittkng at the table to have breakfast with her and David. She was love personified. She was not only a huge part of my life, but i entrusted her to care for my children while i worked as well. She took my youngest baby in when he was only 2 weeks old. He lost his umbilical cord at her
house. Oh what an angel she was and always will be.
