We love and will definitely miss you. He loved my boys like they were his true grandchildren. When they started talking they called him "papa" . He spoiled them and also got on to them if they weren't listening. They made him smile everytime. Even when he wasn't feeling good, kam would call him just to ask if he ate or if he was sleepy. Lol. Everytime he would laugh, but still he answered his thousand question survey over the phone, or how he would sneak and make Anthony a warm pitcher of sweet tea after we left. We have so many great memories an I'm excited that my children an I got a chance to experience a great man like him.. he will forever be our "PAPA"

-I remember when I was at their house helping Britt in the kitchen. Around this time I had got most my hair cut off. Mr. Eric walked in speechless lol!! He was like ‘Why would you do that? Don’t you know a woman’s hair is her glory, her covering?’ All I could do was smile && say ‘Yes sir! You’re right.!’
I’ll never forget the convo we had regarding a decision I thought I was ready to make. He was such a great man && treated me like his daughter. I will forever love && miss you, Mr. Eric. RIH ❤️

I worked with Eric at St. Paul/UT Southwestern for 3.5 years. He was a hard worker as well as a dedicated worker. He was one to always speak his mind and didn't mind telling you the truth no matter what. But he would do it in a way to where it would leave you thinking and yet smiling all at the same time. He could be comical at times. I love bacon and boiled eggs; each morning as I made my rounds speaking to all my co-workers, he always made sure that I got my bacon and boiled eggs. He was a great man with a big heart. Of course, the kitchen at UT Southwestern/Clements Hospital has not been the same without him. He definitely left great memories and he will truly be missed. Rest well my friend. Till we meet again.
