With heavy hearts and steadfast hope in Christ, we celebrate the life of Frances “Carlene” Lockridge, of Seagoville, Texas, who peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2026, at the age of 85.
Carlene was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ. She spent countless hours reading and studying God’s Word and never missed an opportunity to share His love with others. Her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life, and even in her final days, she continued speaking about Jesus. Her unwavering faith was evident to all who knew her and remains the greatest legacy she leaves behind.
She found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved crocheting, sewing, tending to her garden, and spending quiet moments on her favorite spot on the porch. More than anything, Carlene treasured her family. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and encouragement, and to her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Granna Franna,” a name that will forever bring smiles and cherished memories.
Welcoming her into Heaven’s gates were her beloved husband of 65 years, Billy Lockridge; her precious daughter, Donna Lynn; and her parents, Carl and Faye Baker.
She leaves behind her loving children: Bonnie Goodson and husband Kenny, Bill Lockridge, and Carolyn Jackson.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kacie and husband Keith, Chelsey and husband Nathan, Seth and wife Elyse, Kaylea and husband Hunter, and Richard and wife Tae.
Her greatest joy continued through her cherished great-grandchildren: Ally, Tre, Andric, Asher, Macee-Jo, Kenzli, Bentley, Azariah, and R.J., each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Carlene is also survived by her brothers and sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith.
Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in knowing that Carlene is now home with her Savior—made whole, free from pain, and reunited with those she loved who went before her. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, perseverance, love, and grace. She taught us that the greatest inheritance we can leave is a life devoted to Christ.
She will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. While she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, we find comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye, but “until we meet again.”
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
